How do I prevent a DRC Net shorting error in PCB design?

 Good Morning,

I have a devide that has 4 pins going to the same net, but 1 of those pins is a sense line that goes to another pin on an edge connector... All of the pins are connected together in the physical part (QFN) thus I designed it with the pins "touching" each other for pastemask reasons and footprint recomendations.  The problem I have is that I am getting a DRC Net Shorting error in the design (clicking on Status), how can I prevent this from happening?  Should I short the pins on the schematic but take them to where they need to go on the pcb design or is there another way.
